Ball Mill: The Grinding Core of AAC Block Production Lines

Ball Mill System for AAC Production Line
The ball mill system stands as the cornerstone of the Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) production line, efficiently transforming raw materials like sand, fly ash, and tailings into fine powders crucial for high-quality AAC slurry preparation.

Employing a rotating cylindrical drum filled with steel or ceramic balls (30-100mm in diameter), the ball mill grinds 0-20mm granular siliceous materials down to a median particle size of 10-50μm. This process maximizes the surface area for optimal hydration reactions. The produced silica sand powder achieves a specific surface area of 2000 - 3000 cm²/g, ensuring thorough reactions with cement and lime during autoclaving.

Constructed with robust components including feeding, discharging, rotating, and driving parts, the ball mill features a cast steel hollow shaft with interchangeable linings, large cast steel gears processed by hobbing, and wear-resistant liners embedded in the drum. Coupled with an automatic control system—where water flow is precisely regulated by inlet valves and flow meters, and the sand-water ratio is automatically adjusted by computer—the system guarantees stable, high-efficiency operation, forming the bedrock of reliable AAC production.
